Thanks to a change in PayPal policy the Buyer can now pay directly with a Credit Card and no involvement with a PayPal Account. 

For those not familiar with PayPal, it is a highly secure means of transferring funds from Bank accounts, Credit/Debit Cards to a company / individual at any email address. The service is totally free to the Buyer.

Shipping & Handling:

The BASCOM Compiler and MicroGUI Licenses are available by email and have a 'Buy Now' button (as distinct from 'Add to Cart'). Because shipping is not involved the 'Buy Now' button allows a faster checkout.

When shipping is required, if the total is less than $25 there is a Shipping and Handling charge of $3.50 and First class mail is used (same speed as Priority). At $25 and up, S&H is $4.90 and Priority Mail is used.

International:

Currently there is only provision for Canada, and for the following reason. Courier services are secure for both the Buyer and Seller, but their costs can be much greater than the product itself. The US Postal Service offers an economic service to Canada, but there is no Insurance to protect the Buyer, nor Tracking to protect the Seller. 

This 'Global Priority Mail' service to Canada, it is offered as a '$6.50 add-on' to the standard US Shipping (note that there is no add-for CDs) - but it is entirely at the Buyer's risk - Rhombus will not replace any lost or damaged packages. Rhombus will obtain a certificate of mailing from the USPS.

PayPal no longer requires a Buyer to open a PayPal account.

Buyers without a PayPal account (or if using a PC that does not hold their ID) will be presented with this screen and be able to make a normal Credit Card purchase.

Even if a credit card will not be used for funding a purchase, it is still advisable to 'Add a Credit Card' as shown below. After PayPal has confirmed the card number with the card billing address, it then becomes a 'Confirmed Address' for a seller to ship to. From there on, purchases through PayPal will be faster and more simple than using the credit card itself.
